Mission

The mission of the Chaire de coopération Desjardins Guy-Bernier is to encourage and promote reflection and discussion on issues facing cooperatives, in a society experiencing varied, sometimes profound changes in the economic, social and demographic environment.   We encourage conversations focused on values, principles and discourse on practices and operations of cooperatives. The Chair fulfills its mission through research, training, raising public awareness and consultation with a wide range of people working in the world of cooperative business.   Our research program investigates how the values ​​and principles of cooperatives can be integrated into the management of cooperatives. The guiding hypothesis underpinning our various research areas program is that integrating values and principles promoting collaboration and contributing to the success of cooperatives.
