Students
Internships
The companies we collaborate with on research projects may be interested in hosting (as interns), students participating in the activities of the Chaire de coopération Desjardins Guy-Bernier. These internships could be part of an undergraduate, masters or doctoral level program.
Supporting academic success
Encouraged here: open dialogue among students, staff and professors, for it keeps motivation high, and encourages good decision-making throughout one’s academic career. Indeed, having lived the experience, the Chair’s research team, as well as other students, will be able to give advice, share their opinions on certain courses or direct students to professors able to answer specific questions.
The Chair will also support you during your studies, helping you to structure and plan the path you’ll take, ensuring that you have the tools required to attain your academic goals.
Promoting student visibility in the scientific and practitioner communities
Some master’s or doctorate-level projects are presented by students at conferences or other such events, sometimes even internationally. In addition, some projects produce video clips as part of their mandate, allowing students to gain visibility within the scientific and practitioner communities.
Access to computer equipment and premises
While participating in the activities of the Chair, you may qualify to be assigned personal office space and use of office equipment such as a photocopier and printer (may involve usage fees). Computers and Internet access are also available at our locations.
Financial resources The Chair team can help with information on available resources to finance your studies and help you prepare a financing plan. For example, we can guide you in the preparation of your bursary or scholarship applications or help with finding contractual teaching positions (for doctoral students), teaching assistant contracts (master’s and doctoral levels) or research assistant positions.
